I'm looking for a new SD card for my Canon SD1000, Panasonic vs. Sandisk?

I've been debating whether I should purchase the new Panasonic Pro High Speed 2GB or the Sandisk Ultra II 2GB for my Canon SD1000. It seems as though the Panasonic is faster, has anyone had any experiences with Panasonics? and I've also heard the Sandisk's are having issues with loss of data. These are the only two brands I'll be purchasing so please only info concerning them. Thank youBoth are good memory cards. You hearing that San Disk cards are having issues with loss of data is not actually true.

What is happening can happen to any memory card. People are deleting images from their card using the delete feature on the camera. This can spell disaster to both your card and your images.

The safest way to delete images is AFTER they have been copied to your hard drive.

The safest way for you to delete all the images off the memory card is to format it once you are sure all the images are on your hard drive.

Formatting the card using your camera's format feature will assure that your card is free of old corrupted images and the old image index file.

We see this happening all the time here on Answers.go for sandisk 2GB SD card..Panasonic 2GB costs around 1520 and sandisk 2GB is around 950..I'm using sandisk since a year and its performance is gud..data transfer is fast and no data loss is there..both are good
get the one on saleFrom personal experience, you will be pretty safe with either card! I have used both and the speed is almost un-noticeable and not relevant. The price on the card is very relevant to the purchase! I do like Sandisk but if Panasonic is on sale, you can bet I will get that one. The loosing data scare, well there are knock off cards available with the Sandisk name on them and there have been some issues with them loosing data or just not working.
