Ugh Lens Problems? Help?

Okay so for Christmas I just got a Canon SD750. It's been working great. Except for today i turned it on and noticed a round blackish greyish dot. You can only see it when its on something that is a light color, the sky a white wall things that are plain. It's definitely on the lens and not on the LCD. I tried cleaning it but nothing happened also i can not see the smudge at all for some reason. And im not sure if this would make a difference but when i zoom the dot becomes smaller and eventually on a high enough zoom you can't see it.
Help I need to get rid of this dot/smudge
Any help would be amazing. ThanksIt sounds like a dust spot inside th ecaera, maybe on the sensor. This is common , and easily fixed on DSLR cameras with intechangeable lenses.

This link has an example picure with a dust spot on a sensor.

If it is an internal dust spot and it is a new camera it should be fixed under warranty.A little more information is needed here. When you actually take a picture does this dot show up on your finished image or print, or not show up?
There are a number of reasons that you might have this problem. Firstly you may have a few pixels burned out on your LCD viewing screen (this is not an uncommon problem). Secondly you might have a particle on the back of your lens or on your CMOS image sensor.
If the dot does not show up on your finished image or your finished print, I would probably tend to just ignore it. However since your camera is almost new I'm sure it is covered under the camera warranty, so you should just probably take it back to where you bought it, show them the problem, and let them get you the warranty service that came with your camera.
No need to put up with unpleasant viewing conditions if they are not your fault.
Good luck.
