New LG Chocolate...how long should I leave it charging?

I just plugged it in. How long should I leave it alone before I start messing with it? Can I play with it while it's charging? Is it okay if I just leave it plugged in overnight or will that ruin the battery? My last phone turned out very bad so I want to take good care of this one and I'm scared to touch anything.Lithium Ion batteries like to be charged often, as well as topped off. They don't need to be "trained" by draining them all the way down and then charging them back up. Older Nickel Cadmium batteries used to have this issue, but not Lithium Ion batteries.

I don't have an exact time but I would charge it until the charging indicator goes off, and then let it stay for another hour. You can use it while you charge it, but it will charge faster if you don't.let the battery totally die and then start charging it. try to plug it in to charge when you to go bed and unplug it when you get up. my sister does that with her LG phone and it never dies and she hasnt had a problem with it yetas long as its turned on whilst charging you can play with it bu tif its your first charge leave it for about 1 and a half hours to be safe
