both are great devices... in your case it all comes down to money... if you have it get the touch for the extra features if not get the nano, the music sounds just the same

I have a ipod touch and LOVE IT. :)the nano probably wouldnt break as easily
but if youre responsible i'd say the bigger the capacity, the newer the device, the betteripod touch is more expensive but the ipod nano probably would last longer
most people who have the touch get a case because the screen breaks really easily and i just think the ipod nano is cooler because of the different colors and such.iPod touch because it has a bigger screen, internet, and double the memory.And the original answer: neither! Ipods are simply more expensive than mP3 and mP4 players. Look around, find something you like as it is instead of having to pick. I have an 8 gig Zen that does everything but video and is the size of the basic cell phone. Love it!I say nano, they are small, easy to use and look cool. Ipod touch gets greasy really quickly and then after some time it gets annoying having to wipe everything off and get the music/video on. Although it has a smaller screen, nano is more discrete , plus you'll be twice as likely to get mugged on the streets with the touch.I'll help you decide:

Get informed!it has to be the touch ive just got one and its unbelievable. i was woried about the screen as i have a touch screen phone but after i saw the video showing someone trying and failling to scratch the screen i went straight out and bought it. but a word of warning the screen may be scratch proof but the back scratches way too easily, its only 3 days old never been dropped and the back is already getting scratches on it
