Can someone point me out to the best LCD HDTV out there for me.?

I am currently a junior in highschool, and am wanting a LCD HDTV that will fulfill two purposes. Last me through the end of college, and great for gaming. My budget consists of $800, but of course the cheaper the better.

I already know a few things I want (some are obvious)
720p
Very high contrast ratio
Low refresh rate
Atleast 1 HDMI slot
HD Tuner included or built in
PC Compatible
30"+
Great for gaming

Thats all I can think of right now. So what TV should I look for?For your price and size range this could be hard. Vizio has visually good TVs but because they are new no one is sure as to how their dependability is. All the other TVs that other slisted were probably more than just a little bit out of your price range. Maybe look at LG. Thy have pretty good prices and it is a descent set. Besides that you either need to get a bigger budget or go smaller.First of all, grea for gaming and low refresh rate DONOT go hand in hand.....

the faster the refresh rate (Pixel speed) the better....less motion artifacts.

shop aroundYou can't go wrong with SONY, No1 sales still worldwide. Very reliable! And with their new Motion Flow Technology to make movement smoother, they look fantastic.

Then I'd put SAMSUNG a close second.

Samsung make the panel for Sony LCDs anyway, so along with their bright screens, great viewing angles, high contrasts, and stylish looks, they too have a great product!

Sometimes it just comes down to which one you think looks the best, picture wise or design wise??

So hard to say which is better, but I would personally buy in this order: SONY, SAMSUNG, SHARP

Recently in New Zealand LG was rated along with Sony and Panasonic as the 3 most reliable TVs! So LG also seems ok to me.

All the best.I doubt you'll find one in that price range, but SONY is the BEST

Samsung, Toshiba, and Hitachi are next....

Visio, ILO, Tatung, and Olevia are the WORST and Westinghouse too....
